Slow stitching workshop - Sunday 8 November 2026

$150.00

Presented by guest artist Michelle Wardenaar
National Indigenous Veterans Day

Date: Sunday 8 November 2026
Time: 1 - 4pm
Location: Williamstown
Price: $150
Workshop time: 3 hours

Join gifted textile artist Michelle Wardenaar as she inspires participants with her whimsical little textile projects that incorporate old fashioned craft skills such as appliqué and embroidery with a zero waste philosophy. Michelle will share her incredible knowledge and stash of fabric scraps, buttons and haberdashery collected over a lifetime and support participants to create their own little textile work of art while learning a range of skills.

We will pause for afternoon tea, with a selection of Indigenous-inspired treats and tea before finishing our pieces to take home. By the end of the session you’ll have completed a charming little textile project such as an egg cosy, a little purse or a Christmas decoration, the choice is yours.

All proceeds beyond material costs will be donated to charity making this workshop a lovely way to slow down, connect, create and give back.
